All my imagery, be it in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, clay or wax springs from a desire to connect to the humanity in all of us; to reach through the feelings of isolation and aloneness and make contact with that which makes us human.They are fleeting, always illusive images of the inner psychic make-up... people turned inside out, with their internal mix on display.For me, the challenge of finding the visual vocabulary to express this is my goal. To display the multiple emotions - good, bad or otherwise, with the full array of fears, foibles, joys, and vanities as well as self-deceits, passions, and strengths in an individual persona. Then, to be able to reproduce it in a non-judgmental but truly empathetic way, is what I strive to do.
The paintings, all on canvas, in oils, have been painted over a period of time from the early 1980's to 2010. With the majority of them coming in the last year.

Drawing with pencil or pen directly on paper is the most direct way to connect with the intuitive, the magical aspects of life. This is because of it being one tool, an extension of fingers, wrist, arm and psyche.

It is with a great deal of satisfaction that this series of prints is coming out at this point in my art career. They represent the validation of my pencil drawings, hundreds of images, that I have saved as the best drawings out of thousands of drawings.

My sculpture has been, to this point almost all "bas relief". That is raised relief, and not fully three dimensional, it's therefore quite similar to my paintings and drawings, only "deeper" wall hanging, with more dimensional quality.
